AGENDA

1/. Class Fees 2010 - Membership

  1. Jon confirmed that we had agreed in the last meeting that each boat would pay $100 as owner and $35 for all members. After discussion it was agreed that we did not need or use the funds so all agreed that each boat would pay the $100 and each person would pay their own International dues.  The $100 would cover the amount required for Bermuda Sailing dues at $7 per sailor.
  2. As stated above individuals are responsible to pay their own International dues

2/. Saturday Sailing

All owners committed to race in the Saturday scheduled races. Additionally all agreed to sail within the weight limit of 1045 lbs with a 10% margin available. It was agreed that if we should need to qualify for Race week 2011 that the qualifier would be the RBYC results of 2010 Saturday sailing

3/. International Race Week

All agreed that we would participate in IRW within weight limit, weighing would take place.

Also agreed is that we would not sail on the Sunday (no practice race) nor the Wednesday as scheduled as a day off in the racing NOR’s

It was agreed that advertising would be allowed, Leatrice will check with the Bermuda Sailing Association on how the J105 registers the use of advertising.

With reference to sail purchase, it was discussed and agreed that we would adopt the class ruling of 3-2-3, which allows 3 sails in year of purchase, 2 sails in 2nd year and 3 sails after the 3rd year of purchase.  It was also agreed that the boats that were out would be re-weighed, Joji / Passion / Yabster, this weighing will take place March 6, or rain date of March 20, 2010.

Entrants for IRW include Ross MacDonald from Canada with wife Marsha driving, Brian Keane – Savasana Annapolis and Hasco ie three international entrants. All felt that if we loan our boats that this would give us the opportunity to use boats elsewhere.

It was agreed all races would count, Sunday practice race; Monday 2 races; Tuesday 3 races; Thursday 2 races,

Dave Brinning through Chuck advised that Tuckers Point would be available for the Monday cocktail party and Jon Coreless would work on restaurant for the final dinner, all correspondence with be deal with on email.
